Curriculum:
The CNA course is 104 hours overall. Course consist of 88 hours of class room instructions and 16 hours of hands on clinical workshop at Wahiawa General Hospital or Pearl City Nursing Home.

                                                          Evening Course 
Evening Classes are held three days per week,Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Classes begin at 3:00PM and ends at 8:00PM.  ACT's next CNA evening class is Pending. To be announced soon.  Class size is limited to 12 students. Course length is 6 weeks.

                                                          Weekend Course
For those who are able to attend classes only on Saturdays, ACT offers a Saturday CNA course.  These classes are held in the morning from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  The next Saturday CNA course is Pending.  To be announced soon.  Course length is 10 consecutive weeks.

CNA course includes "The New Assistant Nursing Text Book 8th edition", a stethoscope and blood pressure cuff.  
Note: As part of the CNA curriculumn, Students are required to be
CPR certified.  Note the cost for CPR is not included in the tuition cost.  ACT offers the CPR class however you are allowed to choose other CPR training providers.  These other providers must instruct and follow the American Heart Association principles.  This AHA requirement is imposed by the hospital where the clinical workshop is held.   ACT CPR training is approved by the American Heart Association. 
Tutition: $795.00 + $80.00 for AHA CPR, FA including De-fib training

                                                         Phlebotomy Course 
ACT course is approved by the American Phlebotomy Association.
  Course covers the  topics necessary for becoming a proficient Phlebotomist.  Topics such as Anatomy and Physiology of the heart and veins, learning various types of test tubes, syringes, needles etc., advantages and disadvantages of various blood draw methods and more, including Mastering the EKG machine and learning the placement of the 12 probes.

Tutition: $995.00 + $25.00 for clinical supplies.

For the CNA course, Write your name in consent line for the background check and sign application form.   Mail your application along with a deposit of $300.00 for CNA courses or $100.00 for re-certification class.  Cashier Check or regular Checks are excepted.

ACT will contact you after receiving your application and will advise you of the results of the background check. On the first day of your course, you'll be issued your personal blood pressure cuff, Stethoscope and CNA study materials.
